For statistical purposes and to improve our service, this website uses technology provided by the company Matomo, which evaluates and then deletes data. No other use is made of the data, and the data are not passed on to third parties.The following information is stored for each page you view and each file you download:
- Technical details of the browser used
- Anonymous IP address
- Date and time
- Page opened/name of the file downloaded
- Quantity of data transferred
- Notification of whether viewing or download was successful
Temporary session cookies are used each time you view an individual page, to make navigation easier. Cookies are small text files that are stored locally in your browser cache. Session cookies do not include any personal data and expire at the end of each session, or after the completion of a user survey, which is conducted as a rule every two years.
We do not use methods such as Java applets or ActiveX controls that make it possible to track your browsing behaviour.
The procession of data will be conducted according to Art. 6 (1) (f) EU-GDPR for the purposes of the legitimate interests of website analytics to improve the website.
You may at any time lodge an objection to the storage of your anonymously collected visitor data, so that these will no longer be collected in future. Please click on the link at the bottom of this page to be excluded from counting.
Processing of personal data when contacting us via the contact form
It is possible to contact the InsuResilience Secretariat via the contact form provided. In this case, at least the email address and also any other personal user data transmitted with the email (e.g. family and given name, topic of interest, expression of interest) as well as the information contained in the email are transmitted and stored solely for the purpose of contacting the user and processing the request.
This information is transmitted by your browser or email client and stored in our information systems. The processing of this personal data is necessary to respond to your request. In addition, your IP address and the date and time of the contact request are stored.
These processing operations are lawful because responding to your inquiry and protecting our information technology systems constitute legitimate interests within the meaning of Art. 6(1)(f) DSGVO.
The personal data will be stored for as long as necessary to respond to your inquiry. Should your inquiry lead to a subsequent conclusion of a membership application or addition to a focus topic, storage will take place as long as this is necessary for the implementation and fulfilment of your membership. If the request is resolve, and there is no further reason such as (press enquiry) to retain your data, then it will be deleted from our system. May you have another request in the future, you would need to resubmit an enquiry via the contact form again for us to have your information.
We do not combine this personal data with other data sources. Data will not be passed on to third parties. A transfer to a third country or to an international organization is not intended. You are not obliged to provide this personal data, but it is not possible to use the contact form or send an e-mail without providing it.
The processing of the data entered in the contact form is thus based exclusively on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a DSGVO). You can withdraw this consent at any time. For this purpose, an informal communication by e-mail to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations carried out until the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.
Processing of personal data when signing up to be a member
If you register to become an InsuResilience member, the information you provide in the registration form, including your contact details, will be stored for the purpose of processing your membership.
The uploaded endorsement letter is used exclusively to ensure that you have officially made an application to the InsuResilience, and that you comply with our membership application criteria it not published on the website and will be stored only in our internal membership directory.
The logo of your organisation will be featured in our members page, and link directly to your organisation’s website.
No personal information such as your email, names or positions will be ever advertised or posted on our website.
The legal basis for the processing is consent in accordance with Art. 6 Para. 1 a) DSGVO.
The data will only be used for the purposes described in this statement; any other use will always be subject to renewed consent. Your data will not be used for advertising purposes.
The InsuResilience, under the Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH secures the data by appropriate technical and organisational measures against accidental or intentional falsification, destruction, loss or access by unauthorised persons.

Information on your objection
In order for your anonymously collected data not to be stored, a cookie will be placed on your device. Please note that the cookie will be deleted if you choose to delete all cookies on your browser. In this case the cookie has to be renewed.
Newsletter
Any personal details collected as part of the press mailing list subscription will only be used for the purpose of processing the subscription.
Your details will not be passed onto third parties. No use will be made of your details for consulting purposes, for advertising or for market research. If you cancel your subscription, all your personal details will be deleted from our database.
After you entered your email adress, you will receive a Mail with a confirmation link. You can withdrew your order at any time. If you do so, all personal data will be deleted from our data bank.

Web analytics opt-out feature
Below, visitors can “opt-out” being tracked by the Piwik server. By default, all of the website visitors are tracked, but if you opt-out by clicking on the iframe link, a cookie ‘piwik_ignore’ will be set. All visitors with a piwik_ignore cookie will not be tracked.
