The InsuResilience Global Partnership is excited to share with you the Annual Report 2020.
2020 was marked by a global pandemic that put both societies and global resilience efforts to the test. The pandemic has not only revealed gaps in preparedness across local and global systems. It also diminished fiscal spaces to close these gaps and stay on track towards long-term climate and resilience targets. With a compounding of health and climate risks, the need for resilience is greater than ever.
Despite these challenges, the InsuResilience Global Partnership generated decisive momentum in 2020. The Partnership and its members further strengthened the financial resilience of vulnerable communities. With programmes active in over 100 countries, our members and implementing partners worked continuously to scale up Climate and Disaster Risk Finance and Insurance (CDRFI) solutions around the globe.
The 2020 Annual Report is titled “Climate and Disaster Resilience in a world of uncertainty”. It highlights our partner’s projects and activities in different regions and illustrates the Partnership’s impact through testimonies and data. In light of these developments, the Partnership is well positioned towards archiving its Vision 2025.
